All of our friendly safari drivers are guides as well as mechanics. They are fluent in English and have a vast knowledge of all the National Parks in Tanzania. The drivers are proud and passionate about their country and eager to send the message across that Tanzania is indeed a perfect wildlife destination. Some of the drivers have been with Fortes Safaris for over 15 years.

Safaris are conducted in well maintained and custom fitted 4 wheel drive Land rovers fully equipped with CB radio, Jack, First-Aid kit, A/C, spare tire, binoculars, cool box, Animals and Birds reference books and maps. The vehicles have sliding windows and open sun roof for better game viewing and photography. We have a fleet of over 40 Land Rovers so we can also accommodate large groups.

We maintain all our vehicles in our own garage and the vehicles are kept in excellent condition. Should for any reason there is a breakdown during your safari, (which seldom occurs) a replacement vehicle is sent immediately at no extra cost to you.
